Aritz Elustondo Irribarria (born March 28, 1994 in Beasain ) is a Spanish soccer player who is currently under contract with the Spanish first division club Real Sociedad .

Career

Elustondo comes from the youth of the Basque club Real Sociedad . After completing his football training at the Sociedads youth academy in 2012, he was loaned to the fourth division SD Beasain , a club from his hometown . There he played his first games in Spanish men's football. After a season he returned to his home club, where he was initially only used in the reserve team. On January 31, 2014 Elustondo signed a new 2½-year contract with the Txuri-urdin .

After good performance in the B team, he made his debut for Sociedad's first team on January 14, 2015. In the 2-2 draw in the cup match against FC Villarreal , he was on the field from the start. Three days later he made his debut in the game against Rayo Vallecano in the Primera División . He scored his first goal on January 31 in the 4-1 defeat at Real Madrid . In his first season 2014/15 he came on a total of four missions. The following season 2015/16 Elustondo was already in the team of Eusebio Sacristán and came to 35 missions.

On February 3, 2018, Elustondo signed a new contract with Real Sociedad, which binds him to the club until July 2022.

National team

On March 28, 2016, Elustondo played his first and only appearance for the Spanish U-21 national team in a 1-0 friendly win against Norway .
