Artyom Sergeyevich Dzyuba ( Russian Артём Сергеевич Дзюба , FIFA spelling after English transcription Artyom Sergeyevich Dzyuba ; born August 22, 1988 in Moscow , Russian SFSR , Soviet Union ) is a Russian football player who plays on the position of the striker . He has been under contract with the Russian first division club Zenit St. Petersburg since 2015 .

Career

society

Djuba began his career in the youth team of Spartak Moscow and was a regular in the 2nd team. In 2006 he signed a professional contract with Spartak and played his first competitive game in the Russian Cup against Ural Yekaterinburg . During the entire season he did not score a single goal in seven appearances. In the 2007 season Dsjuba was able to prevail against the competition and played 21 games in which he scored three goals. At the beginning of the Premier League season in 2008 he was relegated to the bench, but was best of his team with six goals at the end of the season. Dsjuba made his UEFA Cup debut on December 18, 2008 against English club Tottenham Hotspur . He scored two goals. In 2009 he was loaned to Tom Tomsk .

National team

For the Russian U-19 national team he has played four games and scored one goal.

At the European Football Championship in France in 2016 , he was included in the Russian squad . He was one of the players who was in use in all group matches over the full season. However, as fourth in the group, the team was eliminated.

In 2018 he is part of the Russian team at the 2018 World Cup in his own country and scored 3-0 in the opening game against Saudi Arabia.
