Culture and sights

  • The Audorf village church is one of the oldest preserved sacred buildings in the Altmark. The interior and furnishings of the stone church were restored in 1953/54. A dendrological investigation dated the oak gable of the lintel from the choir / nave to around 1138. On November 13, 1972, the half-timbered bell tower was badly damaged by a hurricane. It was canceled in 1973. The church is a branch of the church of Beetzendorf. It used to be the mother church of the chapel in Beetzendorf.
  • The local cemetery is located in the churchyard.
  • Next to the church is an ensemble of memorial stones for the two world wars.
  • To the northwest of the village on the Jeetze is a water mill , which was first mentioned in 1370. It was renovated from 1997 and is a listed building.
