Bélmez de la Moraleda is a municipality in the province of Jaén in Andalusia .
Bélmez de la Moraleda has been attracting scientists and curious people from all over the world for many years, as alleged spooky phenomena in the form of human faces that manifest themselves in the concrete floor of a house have repeatedly occurred here since 1971 . Skeptics suspect behind the phenomenon a staged dizziness of the residents: the faces are said to have been applied to the floors and walls with oxidizing chemicals, which would turn dark when exposed to light.
