The building is a historical monument. The 1575 by St. Teresa of Avila was the first monastery founded in what is now Andalusia. At the entrance there are two statues in honor of St. Teresa of Ávila and St. John of the Cross . After it was founded, Teresa of Ávila left the community of Beas de Segura on May 18, 1575 and appointed Ana de Lobera Torres as prioress. The door is baroque from the seventeenth century, and inside is a single-nave room with a barrel vault. Abandoned between 1836 and 1899, it was badly damaged in World War II and restored in 1947.
