Böttcher Fahrräder is a German bicycle manufacturer and bicycle wholesaler. After it was founded in 1907, the company produced its own bicycles for the first time and offered them for sale. Thus Böttcher is one of the oldest, still existing, independent bicycle manufacturers worldwide.

history

In 1851 Johann Heinrich Böttcher founded a manufacturing business, from whose bicycle department the bicycle manufacturer Heinrich Böttcher emerged in 1907 and finally the bicycle brand Böttcher emerged in 1937. Due to the increased space requirements for storage and production areas, the company moved into a new factory building in Wesseln in 1974. One hundred years after the company was founded in 2007, the company was transformed into a limited liability company; Since then this has been called Böttcher Fahrräder GmbH .

Products

With the founding of the Heinrich Böttcher company, his first registered bicycle brand with the name Ditmarsia , a women's and men's bike , found its way to customers and over the years it is constantly being offered in newer versions. The range was expanded in 1911 with another bicycle brand, which bears the name Grecos and is still marketed in various versions today. In addition, Böttcher currently offers bicycles in the cross, trekking and mountain divisions as well as e-bikes and pedelecs .
