The bicycle factory Kurt Gudereit GmbH & Co. KG is a traditional German bicycle manufacturer that was founded in Bielefeld in the post-war period and is now in the third generation of the family.
history
The company was founded by Kurt Gudereit in 1949 and has been run as a family business ever since, now in the third generation by Tobias Gudereit. Since the 1990s, Gudereit has been one of the first companies to focus on producing trekking bikes . In various tests by Stiftung Warentest and other bicycle magazines, Gudereit was often able to score test wins and top placements, but frame and handlebar fractures also occurred on Gudereit bikes in the course of these tests. In 1974 the national victory in the competition " Gute Form " was achieved.
After Gudereit initially manufactured the bicycles entirely in Germany, frames and forks are no longer produced in Germany, but imported from Asia.
Gudereit has been a sponsor of TBV Lemgo since 2011 and provided the handball team with bicycles for training purposes.
