Burgthann train station is at the southern end of the village. It is currently served by S-Bahn line 3 every 20/40 minutes, during rush hour the frequency is reduced to 20 minutes. The journey time from Burgthann to Nuremberg is around 20 minutes and to Neumarkt around 13 minutes. In November 2010, a dynamic text indicator was installed on the platforms . As early as 1998, the station was upgraded to S-Bahn standard as part of a new building, and has been served by S-Bahn line 3 since December 12, 2010. The two side platforms each have a platform height of 76 cm above the top of the rails.

The Ludwig-Danube-Main Canal with lock 35 borders directly to the east of the station . Until 1902, the station was called "Rübleinshof" and was only renamed "Burgthann" when the Allersberger Bockl opened . After the closure of the Allersberg line in 1973, only a few remains of the former station existence, such as tower masts, a wider bridge over Bahnhofstrasse, or a broader embankment towards Neumarkt can be seen.

At the train station bus route 503 in the direction of Unterferrieden, bus route 555, which covers the entire municipality of Burgthann, and on the weekends the Nightliner N15 in the direction of Ezelsdorf (–Nuremberg).

64 P + R parking spaces are available for commuters arriving at the train station by car .

In 1894 the Nuremberg – Regensburg line was expanded to two tracks. At this point in time, the brickworks in Mimberg received its first siding. However, it was not until 1950 that passenger traffic began. The fact that passenger traffic began relatively late in Mimberg is due to the location of the train station. The incline in the eastern area after the station made it difficult for the steam locomotives of the time to start, and the estimated passenger turnover had previously been classified as too low.

Today's stopping point has two weather shelters and one ticket machine on each platform. It was rebuilt in 2010 and brought up to S-Bahn standard. The station has been served by S-Bahn line 3 since December 12, 2010. The dynamic passenger information system was installed in mid-May 2011.

Mimberg train station is connected to the nearby Dorfplatz stop on the 555 regional bus and, on weekends, to the N15 Nightliner.

The Oberferrieden station is the easternmost station in the Burgthann municipality. Due to the location between the places Ezelsdorf and Oberferrieden , the stop is easy to reach for both places. Once there was supposed to be a common train station for the towns of Oberferrieden and Burgthann, but this was discarded because the space was needed to implement the branching of the line to Allersberg. The station has been served by S-Bahn line 3 since December 12, 2010. At the train station there are 33 P + R parking spaces, 1 disabled parking space and 52 bicycle parking spaces for rail travelers.

Unterferrieden stop

The Unterferrieden stop was on the disused Burgthann – Allersberg railway . The breakpoint consisted of a platform track. It has not been in operation since the railway was closed on June 2, 1973 and was dismantled in 1975.

Today Unterferrieden is connected to the Burgthann train station by bus route 503.
