The Nürnberg-Sandreuth stop is an S-Bahn station in Nürnberg , is on the Nürnberg-Roth railway line and is located in the west of the city in the Sandreuth district on the flyover over the Südring (B 4 R). It is divided into station category 6 and has a 145 m long and 96 cm high side platform. The stop is served by the S-Bahn line S2 (Roth - Nürnberg - Altdorf) and is linked to the city bus line 65. There are 18 bicycle parking spaces available for commuters.
history
The opening of the stop under the name Schweinau took place on October 1, 1894 with the start of suburban traffic towards Schwabach by the Royal Bavarian State Railways . To distinguish it from the station of the same name on the Nuremberg – Crailsheim railway line , it was renamed Nürnberg-Sandreuth on May 15, 1935 . In the course of the construction work for the third Nuremberg S-Bahn line, the stop was made barrier-free and opened again on June 9, 2001, with the opening of the Nuremberg - Roth S-Bahn line.
