The Charleroi-South railway station ( French Gare de Charleroi-Sud ) is a station of the NMBS / SNCB in the Belgian city of Charleroi , the largest city in the Walloon Region . In terms of passenger frequency, the station ranks fourth in the Walloon region and forms the hub of the Charleroi S-Bahn network .
In Charleroi, the station has the function of a central station . It is connected to the local public transport system via the Charleroi tram . Charleroi is a stopping point for Thalys and TGV trains, making it a hub in the European high-speed network. He also has an important role in regional transport.
