Brigham Academy

The Brigham Academy was founded by the town in 1878. This was made possible by a donation from Peter Bent Brigham, a philanthropist and son of the town. It was active as a secondary school until 1966. Well-known graduates were Warren Austin and Mary Jane Safford . The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1995 .
