Franklin County is a county in the state of Vermont in the United States . The county seat is in St. Albans .

The county borders Canada in the north and has an area of ​​1792 square kilometers, of which 142 square kilometers are water. It is bordered by counties in a clockwise direction: Orleans County , Lamoille County , Chittenden County , Grand Isle County, and Brome-Missisquoi, Canada.

The racial the population was composed of 96.06% white, 0.30% African American, 1.51% Native American, 0.26% Asian, 0.02% residents from the Pacific island area and 0.21% from others ethnic groups; 1.64% were from two or more races.
