history

The village was probably created in the 13th century. In the first written mentions of the village Betschou, given by Antonín Profous , from the years 1207 and 1209 as the property of the Osek monastery , there is obviously a mistake for Bečov in the Okres Most . Petsch has belonged to the Komotau rule since the 13th century and, after the town was ransomed from its subservience, was attached to the Rothenhaus rule in 1605 . In the berní rula from 1654 14 properties, a mill and a tavern are shown for Petsch.

Between 1774 and 1775, the baroque Maria Schnee chapel was built in the center of the village by the pond . The large building with two bells was extended in 1821 and a new organ was added in 1860. In 1964 the chapel was demolished.

In 1834, 134 people lived in the 16 houses in the village. After the abolition of patrimonial Petsch / Bečov formed from 1850, including the second basic mill and the Gröllmühle, a political municipality in the judicial district of Komotau and Komotau . In 1895 the administration of the Rothenhauser estates built the road from Petsch to Grundtal. Between 1899 and 1904, the Komotau dam was built in the Neuhauser Flößbach valley at the site of the Gröllmühle . The inhabitants of the village lived mostly from cattle breeding and agriculture, which was not very productive due to the harsh climatic conditions on the southern tip of the Ore Mountains. Others earned their living by wage labor in the forest. The parish and school location was Platten . After the Munich Agreement , the community was added to the German Reich in 1938 and belonged to the Komotau district until 1945 . In 1939 the community had 123 inhabitants. After the war ended, Bečov returned to Czechoslovakia and the German residents were expelled . On January 1, 1950, Bečov was incorporated into Blatno . Between 1953 and 1958, the Křimov dam was built southwest of Bečov. The migration continued. The 18 houses in the village are used as holiday homes and in 2001 eight for residential purposes.
