Bedřichov (German Friedrichshof ) is a deserted area in the municipality of Rybník nad Radbuzou (German Waier ) in Okres Domažlice in West Bohemia in the Czech Republic .
geography
The small village Friedrichshof was about 500 m south of Waier on the east bank of the Radbuza .
history
Friedrichshof was founded in 1705 and mentioned in writing in 1709 and 1714 under the name Viehhaus. Later it was called Viehhof and from 1734 it appears under the name Friedrichshof. In dialect it was still called Vöichhuaf .
The founder of Friedrichshof was called Friedrich Franz. He was born in 1644 in the forest near Neid, took over the property in 1683 and died in 1734.
At first there was only a stable for the cattle and an apartment for the keeper in Friedrichshof.
Friedrichshof belongs to the rule Muttersdorf and to the municipality of Neid. It was parish and schooled in Muttersdorf.
From 1786 it belonged to the parish Waier and the children went to school in Waier.
While digging a trench in a meadow east of Friedrichshof, the cottagers Simon and Köstner found a treasure. The treasure consisted of 17 silver coins amidst many glass beads. The coins came from the years 1568–1625 and had a diameter of up to 4 cm. Some coins bore inscriptions from George, Duke of Saxony , others from the Roman-German Emperor and others from the Spanish king . One of the coins was marked Dominus mihi adiutor (= the Lord is my helper). The treasure was probably buried during the Thirty Years' War .
