The Commissioner's Silence is a German two-part television film by Markus Imboden from 2009, which was made as part of the Bella Block film series .
action
Nicolette is brutally beaten by her boyfriend Oliver. When she apparently dies a little later from the consequences of her injuries, Oliver Beck and their child have disappeared without a trace. Bella Block investigates with her colleagues in all directions. There she also meets the neighbor Leonie, who wants to become a police officer.
She later meets a journalist who was secretly in love with Nicolette. He initiated the misunderstanding that led to the argument in order to get Nicolette for himself. Since Nicolette couldn't understand what he was doing and started screaming, he smothered her with his T-shirt.
In a subplot, Block is stabbed to death after a lawsuit and briefly loses her language skills. In addition, her long-time friend Simon Abendroth separates from her.
Production notes
The silence of the commissioner was shot in Hamburg and on 17./19. January 2009 at 8:15 p.m. on ZDF for the first time.
criticism
For the lexicon of international films , The Commissioner's Silence was "an ambitious (TV series) crime thriller in which the Commissioner is charged with many private parcels, so that the criminal cases take a back seat."
The critics of the television magazine TV Spielfilm gave the best possible rating (thumbs up) and found: "The crime thriller is only slowly gaining momentum, but the actors are convincing" and came up with the conclusion: "Unspectacular, but strongly played case".
