Ben Piazza

Ben Piazza (born July 30, 1934 in Little Rock , Arkansas , † September 7, 1991 in Sherman Oaks , Los Angeles , California ) was an American actor .

life and career

He made his theatrical debut in 1952 with the play Othello , and he had his first film role in 1959 alongside Gary Cooper and Maria Schell in Der Galgenbaum . This was followed by numerous appearances in television productions such as Matlock , California Clan , Cagney & Lacey and from 1982 to 1983 in Dallas as Walt Driscoll . In 1990, he starred opposite Sylvester Stallone in Rocky V .

Ben Piazza was married to actress Dolores Dorn from 1967 to 1979, and was in a relationship with Wayne Tripp from 1973 until his death. He died in 1991 at the age of 58 of cancer related to his AIDS disease.

Prizes and awards

Ben Piazza won the Theater World Award in 1959 for his role in Kataki .
