Benedict Ledebur

Benedikt Ledebur (born August 20, 1964 in Munich ) is a Vienna- based poet , essayist , critic and translator .

Life

Benedikt Ledebur was born in Munich in 1964. He attended elementary school in Alkoven and the humanistic collegiate high school in Kremsmünster . He first studied theology in Friborg and, after moving to Vienna in 1987, also philosophy and computer science . The engagement with mathematics is evident in his lyrical and theoretical writings. He wrote his diploma thesis on Fritz Mauthner in 1995 . In 2001 he received his PhD Doctor of Philosophy at the University of Vienna with a thesis on the broken rudder. About the skeptical tradition under Kurt Rudolf Fischer . Ledebur published, among other things, in the literary magazines kolik , between the lines, manuscripts , new German literature , writing exercise books and wasp's nest . Between 2005 and 2006 he published the magazine Der Ficker himself , with articles by Clegg & Guttmann , Albert Oehlen , Rudolf Polanszky , Franz West and his later partner Tamuna Sirbiladze . The publication referred to the magazine Der Brenner , published between 1910 and 1954 , edited by Ludwig Ficker . Ledebur translates from English and French into German. He was a guest of the translation workshop in Erlangen and the Wolfenbüttler Translation Talks. Benedikt Ledebur has two children from his marriage to Sophie Waldstein and two children from Tamuna Sirbiladze.
