District Office Gerlachsheim
The Gerlachsheim district office was an administrative district in Baden from 1813 to 1864 . The Baden district offices were comparable in their function and size to a district .
history
The district office Gerlachsheim was founded in 1813 and included 23 municipalities: Gerlachsheim , Brehmen , Buch am Ahorn , Dittigheim , Gamburg , Gerchsheim , Gissigheim , Grunfeld , Grünsfeldhausen , Ilmspan , Impfingen , Krensheim , Kützbrunn , Messelhausen , Oberbalbach , Oberwittighausen , Paimar , Poppenhausen , Schwarzenbrunn , Unterbalbach , Unterwittighausen , Vilchband and Zimmer .
In the same year, the surrounding offices and district offices of Boxberg , Tauberbischofsheim and Wertheim were established . The seat of the district office was in Gerlachsheim, which today belongs to the Main-Tauber district . In 1864 the Gerlachsheim office was dissolved and its communities were assigned to the Tauberbischofsheim district office. This administrative district was in turn given the designation Landkreis with Section 1 (3) of the Third Ordinance on the Rebuilding of the Reich of November 28, 1938 (RGBl. I p. 1675) with effect from January 1, 1939 .
Its communities were assigned to the Main-Tauber district in 1973.
