Bill Bannerman
Bill Bannerman (* before 1980) is a Canadian assistant director , film producer and filmmaker who is best known for his work on the Late West Merciless and the Twilight film series.
Life
Bill Bannerman visited the High School in Dartmouth . In 1979 he wrote in the class register that he wanted to work in the film business. After studying in Toronto , he moved to Los Angeles , where he worked tirelessly to join the ranks of Hollywood directors and producers.
In the 1980 Japanese disaster film Overkill - Through Hell to Eternity , Bannerman first worked as a production assistant. In 1986 and 1987 he worked on two films in the Police Academy film series as an assistant director, which was followed by collaboration on the fantasy horror story in the film Gate - The Underground . The horror comedy Pooh Devil - Daddy is a cannibal from 1989 was the next movie that Bannerman was involved in. This was followed immediately by the mystery crime thriller The Lawyer by Michael Crichton with Burt Reynolds and Theresa Russell and the science fiction film Millennium - The 4th Dimension with Kris Kristofferson and Cheryl Ladd .
For his work on Clint Eastwood's Late West Merciless (1992), Bannerman and five colleagues received the DGA Award . The following year he worked on the literary adaptation Survival! starring Ethan Hawke and the action comedy Die Abservierer from John Badham . In the 1993 road movie Perfect World , Bannerman worked again with Clint Eastwood, as well as in the 1995 literary film The Bridges on the River , in which Meryl Streep plays the leading female role. Bannerman was also on board again for the political thriller Absolute Power (1997) by Clint Eastwood.
The third film in the Air Bud series, Air Bud 3, released in 2000, was directed by Bill Bannerman. From 2009 to 2012, Bannerman was involved in four of five films in the Twilight saga, where he was primarily responsible for the aerial photography. In 2013 he worked as an assistant director in the 3D fantasy film Percy Jackson - Under the Spell of the Cyclops as well as a co-producer. In the 2015 adventure film with horror elements, goosebumps , a film adaptation from the youth book series of the same name by RL Stine , Bannerman worked not only as an assistant director, but also as an executive producer.
Bannerman is a member of the ConnectNS network of proud Nova Scotians.
