Bobrowniki ( German Bobrownik ) is a village in the powiat Będziński in the Silesian Voivodeship in Poland , at the same time it is the seat of the rural community of the same name ( gmina wiejska ).

Bobrowniki is located about 13 km north of Katowice and 11 km west of Będzin on the left, eastern bank of the Brynica River .
history
The place was first mentioned in 1277 as Bobrovnyk , when it was separated from the parish in Bytom ( Bytom ) by the Kraków bishop Paweł and attached to the parish in Kamień , where it remained a parish until the 19th century. The service name is settlement by profession Bobrownik (with the protection of areas authorized persons associated with the hunting of beavers - connected - Polish bóbr) derived.
The place is located in the area that was spun off from the Duchy of Krakow or Lesser Poland around 1177 and fell to the Silesian Duchy of Ratibor , from 1337 Siewierz belonged to the Duchy of Teschen under the feudal rule of the Kingdom of Bohemia . The Duchy of Siewierz with the village of Bobrowniky was sold in 1443 by the Teschen Duke Wenceslaus I to the Krakow Bishop Zbigniew Oleśnicki .
In the course of the Third Partition of Poland , Prussia became part of New Silesia in 1795 . In 1807 it came to the Duchy of Warsaw and in 1815 to the newly formed Russian-dominated Congress Poland . From the 1820s calamine was mined there and Bobrowniki, from 1848 the seat of a municipality, from 1867 in the powiat Będziński, was considered part of the historic-industrial landscape of the Dombrowa coal basin .
From 1821 Bobrowniki belongs to the parish in Siemonia . The dendrochronology indicates the construction of the wooden Wenceslaus church in the years 1856-1857. In 1889 it was expanded. In 1904 it became the seat of an independent parish.
After the end of the First World War it became part of Poland. In 1921 the village of Bobrowniki in the eponymous parish in the powiat Będziński of the Kielce Voivodeship had 360 houses with 3,328 inhabitants, all of them were of Polish nationality, with the exception of 3297 Roman Catholics, there were 30 Jews.
During the attack on Poland in 1939, the area was occupied by the Germans and assigned to the district of Bendsburg in the new "East Upper Silesia".
From 1954 to 1972 the village was the seat of the Gromada Bobrowniki . From 1975 to 1998 the village belonged to the Katowice Voivodeship .

The A1 Autostrada runs through the municipality . In the Sołectwo there is the drain of the Kozłowa Góra reservoir .

The first Bobrowniki municipality was formed in 1848. This existed until the administrative reform in 1954 and was re-established in 1973.
