Bora-Bora is a municipality on the island of the same name in French Polynesia and is one of the Îles Sous-le-Vent of the Society Islands . The municipality is made up of the following sub-municipalities: Nunue with 4927 inhabitants (as of 2007), Fa'anui with the Tupai atoll and 2272 inhabitants and Anau with 1728 inhabitants. The main town is the village of Vaitape in Nunue. The entire district with the highest point at 727 m. ü. M. covers 38 km². The zip code is 98730. Fourteen beaches in Bora-Bora carry the “ Blue Flag ” seal of approval .
