Maupiti (municipality)
Maupiti is a municipality in French Polynesia . It includes the atolls Maupiti , Manuae , Motu One and Maupihaa . Most of the inhabitants live in the three merging villages Vaiea, Petei and Farauru (from south to north) on the narrow eastern coastal strip of the central main island of the Maupiti atoll, at the foot of the 380 meter high Mont Teurafaatui.
