Location of the municipality of Papara

Papara is a community in the south-southeast of the island of Tahiti in French Polynesia . The municipality with an altitude difference of 0 to 1638 m. ü. M. is 93 km². An average of 114 people live there in one square kilometer. The population is around 10,600.

structure

The municipality is not further subdivided into communes associées , but at the regional level it is divided into four quartiers , from west to east:

  1. Tiamao / Afarerii
  2. Afarerii / Vaitiare
  3. Taitihaa / Taharuu
  4. Haumaua / Atimaono
