Brian Tømming Hamalainen (born May 29, 1989 in Lillerød ) is a Danish football player . He plays for the German second division club Dynamo Dresden .

Career

Hamalainen played for Allerød FK / Lillerød IF from 1994 . In 2003 he moved to Lyngby BK's youth department . On the sixth day of the 2007/08 season he completed his first league game in a 6-1 loss to Esbjerg fB when he came on for Andreas Bjelland in the 82nd minute . In May 2009 he completed a trial training at the French club OSC Lille , but decided against a move to France .

In July 2011 Hamalainen went to the Belgian Pro League for SV Zulte Waregem . With the team Hamalainen qualified after a goal in 28 missions and 13th place in regular play for the Playoffs II and came there to six missions and one more goal. In the playoffs, SV Zulte Waregem took fourth place. In the 2012/13 season Hamalainen came to five missions for the club.

In August 2012 he moved to KRC Genk . In the 2012/13 season he played four games in the UEFA Europa League , from which KRC Genk was eliminated in the round of 32 against VfB Stuttgart , and in ten games in regular league play, in which his club finished third. By this placement they took part in the championship play-offs and finished fifth. There Hamalainen was used in four games. He played three times in the Belgian cup competition he won. In the new season Hamalainen played in two games in the Belgian Cup and was eliminated with KRC Genk in the quarter-finals, while in the UEFA Europa League it was the last sixteen. Here he played in only one game. In regular game play he came to seven missions and took sixth place in the table with the Genkern and in the championship play-offs Hamalainen played in four games and again finished sixth. In the 2014/15 season , Hamalainen only played one game in league play.

In the summer of 2015 Hamalainen returned to SV Zulte Waregem. Three appearances in the Belgian cup competition, from which the club was eliminated against Standard Liège , followed 13 appearances in regular league play, in which SV Zulte Waregem finished fifth in the table. In the championship round he played three times and finished third in the table with his club. In the playoffs, SV Zulte Waregem prevailed against RSC Charleroi ; Hamalainen played in the second leg. In the 2016/17 season he played in 26 games in which he scored one goal and qualified as third in regular play for the championship play-offs, in which SV Zulte Waregem finished sixth. He came to nine missions and one goal. In the Belgian Cup he made four appearances and one goal. At the end of the season, SV Zulte Waregem won the cup competition.

In the summer of 2018 Hamalainen moved to Germany for the second division team Dynamo Dresden . His contract runs until June 2020.

National team

Hamalainen played a total of 22 games for the Danish U16 , U17 , U18 and U19 national teams from 2005 to 2007 . On February 10, 2009, he played his first U-21 international match against Malta and scored the 1-0 winning goal. Hamalainen played ten times for the U-21 national team, his last game he played on February 8, 2011 in a 2-1 defeat against Spain .

In 2016, because of Hamalainen's Finnish ancestors, football coach Hans Backe showed an interest in winning him for the Finnish national team he had coached .
