Bruno Mielke

Bruno Mielke (born February 13, 1936 in Eichfier near Deutsch Krone , Pomerania ) is a German officer ( retired Brigadier General ). From 1989 to 1991 he was the commander of the Air Force Officers School .

Promotions

Mielke joined the Air Force Training Regiment 1 in Uetersen in 1956 . In 1956/57 he attended the Air Force officers' school in Faßberg. From 1957 to 1959 he received his flying training in Itzehoe and Canada. From 1960 to 1962 he was a member of the training group at the aircraft piloting school B in Fürstenfeldbruck. Then he was platoon leader and company commander in the officer candidate battalion in Fürstenfeldbruck.

From 1967 to 1969 he completed the 12th general staff course at the command academy of the Bundeswehr in Hamburg. After that he was A1 in the 3rd Air Force Division in Meßstetten. From 1971 to 1976 he was a consultant at the Federal Ministry of Defense in Bonn. In 1975/76 he was a participant in the 47th NATO Defense College in Rome. From 1976 to 1980 he was A1 with the Allied Joint Force Command Brunssum . From 1980 to 1984 he was head of division in the air force command staff and then sub-department head in the BMVg. In 1989 he became the commander of the Air Force officers' school in Fürstenfeldbruck. From 1991 to 1993 he was deputy head of the Air Force Office in Cologne-Wahn. In 1993 he retired.

Mielke is married and has three children.
