Fred Noack

Fred Noack (born August 5, 1931 in Berlin ) is a retired German officer. D. last in the rank of lieutenant general . He was u. a. Commander of the Air Force Officer School and the 1st Air Force Division .

Life

Education

From 1953 to 1955 he studied civil engineering at the Technical University of Berlin .

Military background

Promotions

In 1956 he joined the 1st Air Force Training Company in Nörvenich. From 1956 to 1958 he completed his pilot training and language training at the A pilot school in Landsberg am Lech, Lackland Air Force Base in Texas, Graham Air Base in Florida, Bryan Air Force Base in Texas and Luke Air Force Base in Arizona. In 1958 he became a pilot and later also a squadron operations officer in Fighter Bomber Wing 31 in Nörvenich. In 1960 he was incapacitated for medical reasons.

In 1961 he completed training as an S2 officer at the General Air Force Office in Cologne. From 1961 to 1963 he was an S2 staff officer of the flying group in the fighter-bomber squadron 31 "Boelcke". From 1963 to 1965 he completed the 8th General Staff Course in the Air Force at the Management Academy of the Federal Armed Forces (FüAkBw) in Hamburg. He then worked as an A3 staff officer in the Air Force Group Command North in Münster. From 1967 he was employed as a teaching staff officer and from 1970 as a lecture hall director at the command academy of the Bundeswehr in the air force department.

From 1972 to 1974 he was Operations Staff Officer at the Supreme Headquarters Allied Powers Europe (SHAPE) in Mons / Belgium and from 1974 to 1977 he was Assistant Chief of Staff (ACOS) of the Exercise Plans Division at the headquarters (HQ) of Allied Air Forces Central Europe ( AAFCE) in Ramstein. From 1977 to 1979 he was the commander of the Air Force Officer's School (OSLw) in Fürstenfeldbruck. This was followed in 1979 as the ACOS Policy and Exercises Division in the HQ of the Allied Forces Central Europe (AFCENT) in Brunssum / Netherlands. From 1981 to 1983 he was commander of the 1st Air Force Division in Meßstetten and in 1983 became Deputy Commander and Chief of Staff of the Allied Air Forces Central Europe. In 1989 he was retired.
