Horst Lamberty

Horst Lamberty (born September 6, 1931 in Forst (Lausitz) ; † August 1, 2020 ) was a German officer , most recently in the rank of brigadier general . From 1979 to 1983 he was the commander of the Air Force Officers School .

Life

education

After graduating from high school in 1952, Lamberty completed an apprenticeship in the Schleswig-Holstein financial administration , where he also worked for a short time.

Military background

Promotions

In 1956 he joined as a flyer ( OA ) in the Air Force one of the Bundeswehr in Uetersen. In 1957 he attended the Air Force Officer's School (OSLw) in Fassberg. Training courses (telecommunications and air traffic control officer) followed in Kaufbeuren. In 1959 he became an air traffic control officer in Faßberg and acquired the GCA license. From 1959 to 1964 he worked as a teaching and checking officer for air traffic control licenses at the technical school of the Air Force in Kaufbeuren. From 1964 to 1966 he took part in the 9th general staff course (L) at the command academy of the Bundeswehr (FüAkBw) in Hamburg.

From 1966 to 1970 he was A1 in the 5th Air Force Division in Birkenfeld. In 1970 he came to Bonn as an assistant consultant in the command staff of the Air Force (Fü L II 4). In 1973 he became head of department there (Fü LI 4). From 1973 to 1976 he was Branch Chief at the headquarters of the Allied Forces Central Europe (AFCENT) in Brunssum. From 1976 to 1979 he was head of the division for basic personnel matters (Fü LI 1).

From 1979 to 1983 he was the commander of the Air Force officers' school in Fürstenfeldbruck. From 1983 to 1985 he was Deputy Head of the Air Force Office (LwA) in Cologne. He was then retired.
