Hans-Werner Jarosch

Hans-Werner Jarosch (born June 9, 1942 in Katowice ) is a German officer ( Generalleutnant retired). From 1994 to 1999 he was the commander of the Air Force officers' school . Most recently he was Deputy Inspector of the Air Force .

Life

Hans-Werner Jarosch comes from Upper Silesia . After graduating from high school in 1962, he joined the Bundeswehr in the air force anti-aircraft battalion 41 in Essen . He was then trained as an officer candidate for the Air Force in Burbach, Rendsburg and Neubiberg.

From 1964 to 1969 he was a fire control officer in the anti-aircraft missile battalion 34 in Erding and Landshut . In 1969 he became lecture director at the Air Force Missile School in El Paso, Texas . From 1971 to 1974 he was deputy boss or boss of a HAWK battery in Bremervörde / Cuxhaven .

From 1974 to 1976 he completed the 19th general staff course (L) at the command academy of the Bundeswehr (FüAkBw) in Hamburg . Afterwards he was an operational general staff officer of the 2nd Air Force Division (LwDiv) in Birkenfeld and a consultant at the command staff of the Air Force (Fü L) in Bonn . In 1984 he became the commander of the anti-aircraft missile battalion 31 in Westertimke .

From 1986 to 1987 he attended the 60th NATO Defense College (NDC) in Rome . From 1987 to 1990 he was Principal Staff Officer of the Deputy Supreme Allied Commander Europe (SACEUR) in Mons (Belgium). In 1990/91 he was deputy head of a NATO working group. From 1991 to 1994 he was head of department in the Air Force Command (“Luftwaffe Concept”) and in the Armed Forces Command (Fü S) (“Bundeswehr Concept”).

From 1994 to 1999 he was the commander of the Air Force Officer's School (OSLw) in Fürstenfeldbruck . In 1999 he became deputy to the commanding general of the Air Force Command (LwKdo) North in Kalkar. Most recently he was Deputy Inspector of the Air Force (InspL). In 2004 he retired.

Jarosch is married and has two children.
