Federal Garden Show 2021
The Federal Horticultural Show 2021 is to take place in Erfurt . The city is following on from a tradition, as the first international agricultural and horticultural exhibition took place there from September 9th to 17th, 1865. Since 1961, the permanent International Horticultural Exhibition (iga) has been the largest and most important event of its kind in the GDR and the Eastern Bloc . After 1990 it was converted into the municipal egapark .
After the Federal Garden Show 2007 in Gera and Ronneburg , the Federal Garden Show 2021 in Erfurt will be the second Federal Garden Show in the Free State of Thuringia .
Exhibition space
The main exhibition area will be the egapark , whose 60th anniversary can be celebrated in 2021. Further payment areas are to be located on the Petersberg and in the Nordpark . The Kilianipark and the Nördliche Gera-Aue should connect these areas with each other.
