Until the government coalition came into being and the formation of these regular committees, only the so-called main committee was temporarily set up from November 28 to December 19, 2013 .

On December 19, 2013, the Bundestag approved the intergroup proposal to set up 22 standing committees, whereupon all of the currently existing committees except the Committee for Digital Agenda were constituted on January 15, 2014. After the decision to set it up on February 13, the Digital Agenda Committee was also constituted on February 19, 2014.
