etymology

The place name Busch denotes a wooded area, the living space was created on the arable land of the old Busch farm, this brought the word field with it.

history

The living space was probably built in the 2nd half of the 19th century. At that time, Buscher Feld was part of the city and mayor's office of Gräfrath . In the municipality lexicon for the province of Rhineland in 1885 a house with three inhabitants is given. In 1895 the district owned a house with four inhabitants, in 1905 one house and three inhabitants are given.

With the town association of Groß-Solingen in 1929, the residential area became a district of Solingen. The place name Buscher Feld quickly caught on in the following years for the entire area between Landhausstraße and Bimericher Straße. The official street name of the Hofschaft Busch also became extinct and was replaced by Buscher Feld , the street still bears this name today. The first buildings originally belonging to the residential area were demolished at the end of the 20th century and replaced by a new building.
