history

The location of Mühlenbusch is not yet recorded on the map by Erich Philipp Ploennies from 1715. Mühlenbusch belonged to the Honschaft Gräfrath within the Solingen office . The topographical survey of the Rhineland from 1824 shows a residential area called Stamershaus . On the Prussian first recording from 1844, a second residential area, immediately adjacent to the southwest, is drawn on the same path - both together now formed Mühlenbusch. In the topographic map of the Düsseldorf administrative district from 1871 the location is recorded without a name.

In 1832 Mühlenbusch was part of the Gräfrath Honschaft within the Gräfrath mayor . The place, which was categorized as a small arable property according to the statistics and topography of the Düsseldorf administrative district , had a residential house and two agricultural buildings at that time. At that time, five residents lived in the village, all of whom were evangelicals. The municipality and estate district statistics of the Rhine Province list the place in 1871 with three houses and 26 inhabitants. In the municipality lexicon for the Rhineland province in 1885, four houses with 21 inhabitants are given. In 1895 the place had five houses with 58 inhabitants, in 1905 six houses with 64 inhabitants.

With the town union of Groß-Solingen in 1929, Mühlenbusch became a district of Solingen. The buildings belonging to the location today are all numbered facing Walder Strasse, but the name of the place is still recorded in the Solingen city map.
