history

The field name Bimerich can be traced back to the 16th century. The location of Bimerich, however, was probably not created until the 19th century. The topographical map of the Rhineland from 1824 and the topographical map of the Düsseldorf administrative district from 1871 do not record the location, but the Prussian first map from 1844 shows a small, unlabeled settlement area.

In the municipality lexicon for the Rhineland province in 1885, two houses with ten residents are given. In 1895 the district had a residential building but no residents, in 1905 one residential building and five residents were given.

With the town union of Groß-Solingen in 1929, Bimerich became a district of Solingen. Today there is an allotment garden around the buildings belonging to the location .
