Chemical industry in Poland

The chemical industry in Poland is an important branch of the Polish processing industry. The organic chemistry industry produces products based on hydrocarbons , wood , rubber , fat and other organic substances. The so-called great chemistry refers to the size of the manufacturing and the range of millions of tons per year. Great chemistry includes the production of: fertilizers, fuels, plastics (mainly: plasticizers) and industrial gases; In small-tonnage chemistry, where production takes place on a smaller scale. • Artificial and synthetic fiber industry (in the plants in Toruń , Gorzów Wielkopolski , Tomaszów Mazowiecki and Sochaczewo );
• Paint and varnish industry (including production plants in Cieszyn , Dębica , Breslau , Włocławek , Chorzów and Pilawa );
• pharmaceutical industry (including pharmaceutical plants in Warsaw , Kraków, Poznan , Kutno , Starogard Gdański , Jelenia Góra , Pabianice , Łódź , Grodzisk Mazowiecki and Rzeszów );
• Detergent industry;
• Pesticide industry.
