Cheng Chong (born December 24, 1992 ) is a Chinese sprinter .

Athletic career

For the first time Cheng Chong appeared at the Indoor Asian Championships 2012 in Hangzhou . In the 400-meter run she finished fifth in 56.18 seconds and won the gold medal in the Chinese 4-by-400-meter relay in 3: 40.34 minutes. The following year she was again fifth over 400 meters at the Asian Championships in Pune and won the silver medal behind the team from India in 3: 35.31 min. In 2014 she again took part in the Asian Indoor Championships in Hangzhou and was fifth again in 56.86 s. At the end of September she was eliminated in the first round of the Asian Games in Incheon and won the bronze medal in the Chinese relay in 3: 32.02 minutes. In 2015, she won the relay at the Asian Championships in Wuhan, Germany, and received a bye for the World Championships in Beijing , where she was eliminated in the preliminary round with 3: 34.98 minutes .

In 2018 she took part again in the Asian Games in Jakarta and came in fourth place with the 4 x 400 meter relay and the mixed relay. After the doping-related disqualification of the victorious Bahraines in 2019, the bronze medal in the mixed relay was awarded to the Chinese.
