Chlum is a municipality with 43 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2019) in the Czech Republic . It is located 13 kilometers north of Zbiroh in the Radnitzer Bergland and belongs to the Okres Rokycany . The cadastral area is 854 ha.

The place is 441 m above sea level. M. at the southern foot of the Hamouz (470 m) on the right side above the Berounka valley . The steep bank of Berounka to the west of the village has been declared a nature reserve Chlumská stráň . The Křivoklátsko Biosphere Reserve begins east of Chlum .
Neighboring towns are Podmokly and Zvíkovec in the northeast, Sadky in the east, Mlečice in the southeast, Prašný Újezd in the south, Kladruby in the southwest, Hřešihlavy and Třímany in the west, Hlince , Ptíč, Dolany and Studená in the northwest.
history
The first written mention of the village comes from 1379. Based on burial mounds, an early settlement from the time between 700 and 400 BC can be traced. Prove.
In 1850 301 people lived in the village. Since then, the population has fallen sharply. In 1900 there were 259 and by 1950 it had decreased to 157. This trend continues as the traditional agriculture there barely feeds the residents and the youth migrate because there is a lack of jobs. Until 1924 Chlum was a district of Zvíkovec .
The former school was converted into a municipal office and inn. A large part of the houses are used as holiday homes for recreational purposes.

No districts are shown for the community of Chlum. The Sádky and Hamouz estates belong to Chlum as well as a holiday cottage settlement opposite the Lejskův Mlýn at the confluence of the Radubice brook into the Berounka .

- Chapel of St. Ludmilla , built in 1869 in neo-baroque style ( national cultural monument )
- The Chlumská stráň nature reserve with an area of 150 ha is the oldest protected area in the Okres Rokycany . Because of the rare stock of beetroot it was placed under protection in 1933. The steep bank is a good vantage point over the river valley
