Christian "Butzi" Mayr (born February 17, 1979 in Garmisch-Partenkirchen ) is a former German ice hockey player who last played at EV Füssen in the Oberliga Süd . In the season 15/16 Mayr was the coach of EV Mittenwald.

Career

Christian Mayr first went through all youth departments at SC Riessersee before he made his debut in the first team in the 1st League South (also known as Hacker Pschorr League) in 1996 . After five years that were not so successful for him, he moved to the 2001/02 season for one season at Deggendorfer EC , which played in the major league . Despite a solid season, he moved to the Dresdner Eislöwen for the 2002/03 season . Here he had his most successful season to date (49 points in 54 games).

For the 2003/04 season he moved to ETC Crimmitschau in the 2nd Bundesliga . In 48 games Mayr only scored 14 points and moved to the top division of the Blue Lions Leipzig for the new season . Here he was able to continue past successes and achieve 21 points in 20 games and moved on to season 2005/06 for EHC Munich . After 49 games and ten points Mayr moved back to his home club for the next two seasons, with whom he made promotion to the 2nd Bundesliga for the 2007/08 season .

Before the 2008/09 season Mayr moved to TEV Miesbach in the league and made use of his release clause during the season to move to the Schwenninger Wild Wings in the 2nd Bundesliga. After the season 2008/09 Mayr went back to the TEV Miesbach, in the 2009/10 season in the hockey Regional played before he from his hometown club before the 2010/11 season has been reactivated. After another one-year interlude in Garmisch-Partenkirchen, his contract was not extended in July 2011.

In mid-August 2011 it became known that Mayr was moving to the fourth-class TSV Peißenberg , among other things for personal reasons, and thus turned down an offer from the Löwen Frankfurt (formerly Frankturt Lions) , who had just returned to the top division . After only a four-week interlude with Bayern division TSV Peißenberg, Mayr moved to the upper division EC Peiting . At the end of December 2012, Mayr's contract was terminated by mutual agreement and Mayr moved to EV Füssen .
