Christian Prince

Johann Christian Prinz (born November 23, 1801 in Darmstadt ; † May 25, 1849 in Oberlaudenbach ) was a lawyer, administrative officer and member of the state parliament.

Christian Prinz was the son of the master saddler Bernhard Prinz (1773-1837) and his wife Anna Dorothea nee Geyer (1773-1832). Christian Prinz, who was a Protestant denomination, married Emilie Elisabeth Karoline born Lichtenberg (1801-1892) on April 28, 1828 in Pfungstadt .

Christian Prinz studied law and became a court clerk at the court in Darmstadt. In 1827 he became office-visitation-commission secretary and in 1832 secretary at the provincial and district secretariat in Darmstadt. In 1834 he became a secret secretary at the Ministry of the Interior and Justice .

In 1841 he became a member of the government and from 1842 to 1848 a district councilor in the Gießen district . In 1846 he was also promoted to provincial commissioner for the province of Upper Hesse . In the March Revolution, the district administrative districts were abolished and replaced by administrative districts for almost three years (1848–1852). Christian Prinz became conductor of the government commission in the administrative district of Heppenheim .

From 1840 to 1842 he represented the constituency Starkenburg 5 / Pfungstadt in the second chamber of the estates of the Grand Duchy of Hesse . He was the successor to Heinrich Pabst .
