Christoph Friedrich zu Dohna-Lauck
Christoph Friedrich Burggraf and Count zu Dohna-Lauck (born October 19, 1652 in Reichertswalde ; † November 10, 1734 ibid) was Hereditary Ensign of Prussia .
Life
origin
Christoph Friedrich was a member of the widespread and respected Prussian noble family of the Counts and Burgraves of Dohna . His parents were the Brandenburg statesman Fabian zu Dohna (1617–1668) and his first wife Henriette Amalia zu Dohna (1626–1655).
Career
Christoph Friedrich was hereditary lord of the Prussian estates Lauck and Samrodt and, since 1688, of Reichertswalde.
At the coronation of Frederick III. From Brandenburg to the Prussian king, as Prussian hereditary ensign, he carried the great standard of Prussia, the banner as the main symbol of sovereignty directly behind the king. With that he was also present at the foundation and the first awards of the Black Eagle Order - most of the authors involved rule out the fact that he himself was among the Knights of the Order. Friedrich Christoph is said to have dealt extensively with questions of faith about which he continually corresponded with the renowned Reformed theologians of his time.
Between 1701 and 1704, Johann Caspar Hindersin doubled the manor house in Reichertswalde for Christoph Friedrich and turned it into an impressive baroque residence . The baroque castle in Lauck was built under him before 1700. It was demolished in 1935 after most of the land had been sold.
As the eldest of the family and owner of the Reichertswalde and Lauck majorates , Christoph Friedrich donated the two family fideikommisse Lauck and Reichertswalde in 1731 , which were combined in 1878 to form an estate complex of 7,000 hectares. He was the progenitor of the Dohna-Reichertswalde line .
family
Friedrich Christoph was married twice, in his first marriage in 1677 to Countess Johanna Elisabeth zur Lippe (1653–1690), daughter of Hermann Adolf Landlord of the County of Lippe-Detmold and Countess Ernestine of Ysenburg-Büdingen-Birstein and in 1692 with Elisabeth Christine , Countess Palatinate near Rhein zu Zweibrücken-Landsberg (1656–1707), daughter of Duke Friedrich Ludwig of Pfalz-Zweibrücken-Landsberg and Countess Palatine Juliane Magdalena of Zweibrücken .
