Clean Your Clock is the last live album by the British hard rock and heavy metal band Motörhead . It was published on June 10, 2016 and was recorded on November 20 and 21, 2015 at the Zenith in Munich . This is why the publication is nicknamed Live in Munich . It was the last album that Lemmy Kilmister recorded during his lifetime and can be seen as his legacy.
Titling
The phrase Clean Your Clock comes from slang and means something like I 'll punch you in the face or I'll polish your face - where the English word “clock” for clock here means “face / face”. Literally translated the title means I'll clean / clean your watch .
reception
The reviews for Kilmister's last live album were rather muted. Unisono was certified that his illness was clearly noticeable at the concerts and that he was musically unable to build on earlier albums. Even the Deutschlandfunk headlined "Ein Trauerspiel" and raised the question of whether this recording was really necessary in view of the frontman's state of health. The author comes to the conclusion that more financial interests were in the foreground in the production of the album.
