Everything Louder than Everyone Else is a Live - double album by the British band Motörhead . it was released on March 9, 1999 on the Steamhammer label (distributor: SPV ).

History of origin

After Michael Burston left Motörhead in 1995, the band continued as a trio as in their early days. The first album, Overnight Sensation , was very well received by the audience, but especially live it went very well for the band. After No Sleep 'til Hammersmith (1981) and No Sleep at All (1988), it was decided to release the third official live album legitimized by the band. But first they released the studio album Snake Bite Love in 1998 , but did not lose sight of the plan. It was also decided to record a complete gig for the first time, which would have been an expensive affair before due to the limited running time of a record . Lemmy Kilmister favored Germany as a venue because the audience there had stood behind the band even during the rather poor sales years. One of the reasons he chose the Hamburg live club Docks was because, like Liverpool, it was a port city. Lemmy says: "You know what you're doing with a sailor!" The album was recorded live on May 21, 1998 without overdubs . Lemmy Kilmister once called it better than her legendary live debut No Sleep 'til Hammersmith .

The selection of songs focuses mainly on the later years, with classics such as Ace of Spades , Iron Fist and Overkill also appearing on the album. The setlist was put together especially for the album. For example, Burner and On Your Feet or on Your Knees were included in the set. In Born to Raise Hell is Nina C. Alice from the German band Skew Siskin heard. The song, originally a collaboration with Ice-T and Whitfield Crane , was originally written by Lemmy for the band. The mix, which was left very loud and raw, was done by Charlie Bauerfeind and Rainer Hansel .
