The Communauté de communes Grand-Figeac (before 2017) is a former French association of municipalities with the legal form of a Communauté de communes in the departments of Lot and Aveyron region Occitania . It was founded on January 1, 2014 and comprised 80 parishes. The administrative seat was in Figeac . The specialty was the cross-departmental structure of the municipalities.

Historical development

The predecessor organization Communauté de communes Figeac-Communauté was founded in 1997 and merged in 2014 with the Communauté de communes de la Vallée et du Causse , the Communauté de communes Causse Ségala-Limargue and parts of the Communauté de communes Lot-Célé to what is now the Communauté de communes Grand- Figeac .

With effect from January 1, 2017, the community association merged with the Communauté de communes du Haut-Ségala and thus formed the successor organization Communauté de communes Grand-Figeac . Despite having the same name as the previous organization, it is a start-up with a different legal personality.
