Corinne Sutter

Corinne Sutter (born March 4, 1985 in Flawil ) is a Swiss artist . She has been working primarily as a draftsman since she was 18 and appears as a quick draftsman for caricatures and cartoons as well as a speed painter at home and abroad.

Life

Corinne Sutter lives in Aarwangen with her husband and their two children .

Career

Until she was 18, Corinne Sutter's artistic activity was primarily determined by music. At the age of 5 she started playing the violin, played in ensembles, in the orchestra of the canton school, in various rock and pop bands, a tango and an Irish band. Especially in her youth, Sutter wrote songs and pieces of music. From 2000 to 2004 Corinne Sutter attended the canton school at Burggraben St.Gallen with a focus on music. During this time she practiced self-taught drawing faces. After she was accepted into a drawing agency in 2003, she carried out her first assignments and appearances as a cartoonist. After graduating from high school, she attended the Rorschach University of Education and graduated in 2007 with an award for special artistic achievements. From 2009 to 2013, Sutter wrote interviews with musicians and bands such as Guano Apes , Calexico , Bela B or Sido and drew them during the interview . Since 2005 she has been caricaturing for the satirical magazine Nebelspalter .

In 2015, Sutter was contacted by the creators of the casting show The Greatest Swiss Talents and decided to participate. During her performance she drew a picture puzzle, in which she initially drew a caricature of the juror Gilbert Gress and then painted a portrait of the juror Bligg . The video went viral on social platforms, whereupon Sutter auctioned the image for a good cause. Since then, Sutter has also appeared as a speed painter , concentrating on her own artistic projects in her studio.
