Długopole Dolne is located in the valley of the Glatzer Neisse at the eastern foot of the Habelschwerdter Mountains on a side road that leads from Bystrzyca Kłodzka to Roztoki . Neighboring towns are Bystrzyca Kłodzka in the north, Wilkanów and Domaszków in the southeast, Długopole Górne and Długopole Zdrój in the south, Poręba and Ponikwa in the southwest and Wyszki in the northwest.
history
Niederlangenau was first mentioned in a document in 1338. It belonged to the Glatzer Land , with which it shared the history of its political and ecclesiastical affiliation. It consisted of several parts:
- The dominial portion was initially a fiefdom and in 1381 belonged to Otto von Glubus ( Glaubitz ) on Wölfelsdorf. Until 1580 it belonged to the rule Wölfelsdorf and was acquired in 1580 by Heinrich von Ratschin auf Arnsdorf ( Grafenort ). Around 1600 he also acquired the Niederlangendorfer Freirichtergut , which he combined with the Dominial Share. His son of the same name lost the property in 1623 because of his participation in the Bohemian class uprising . They were acquired by the archducal treasurer Johann Arbogast von Annenberg , who connected the Niederlangenau dominant portion together with the Freirichtergut with his rule in Arnsdorf. By marriage in 1652, his possessions came to the Imperial Count Johann Friedrich von Herberstein . In the following, the dominial portion was referred to as the "Graeflich Herberstein portion".
- In 1428 the Freirichtergut was owned by a Peter Wenzlaw. Around 1600 it was acquired together with the associated Kretscham from Heinrich von Ratschin, who combined it with the Dominial part.
- Another share initially belonged to the Bohemian royal chamber and was acquired in 1684, together with other chamber villages in the Habelschwerdt district, from the governor of Glatz, Michael Wenzel von Althann , who already owned the neighboring dominions of Mittelwalde , Wölfelsdorf and Schönfeld. From the newly acquired villages and the Nieder- and Oberlangenau parts he formed the rule Schnallenstein , the main town of which was Rosenthal , so that it was also known as the "Dominion Rosenthal".
- The area in the upper part of the village, later Bad Langenau, was a district of Niederlangenau until 1945. It belonged to the city of Habelschwerdt until 1839 and then passed to private owners. There was an alum mine here from 1563 to 1590 .
After the Silesian Wars , Niederlangenau and the County of Glatz came to Prussia in 1763 with the Peace of Hubertusburg . After the reorganization of Prussia, it belonged to the province of Silesia from 1815 and was initially incorporated into the district of Glatz. In 1818 it was reclassified to the Habelschwerdt district , to which it belonged until 1945. In 1939 there were 1034 inhabitants.
As a result of the Second World War , Niederlangenau fell to Poland in 1945, like almost all of Silesia, and was renamed Długopole Dolne . The German population was expelled. Some of the new residents were displaced from eastern Poland . 1975-1998 Długopole Dolne belonged to the Wałbrzych Voivodeship (German Waldenburg ).
Church affiliation
Niederlangenau was first parish off to Oberlangenau. After this was downgraded to a branch church of Ebersdorf in 1624, Niederlangenau came to the parish of Habelschwerdt. Długopole Dolne has been an independent parish since 1979 and has been part of the newly established Świdnica diocese since 2004.
