The GDR ice hockey championship 1951/52 was held in the winter of 1951/52. Originally an increase in the league to six participants was planned, after all seven teams took part, as the BSG Progress Apolda - which did not take part in the actual qualifying tournament - was subsequently nominated during the season. After the eighth game day and to date five completed games, however, the team was withdrawn.
