(A) A group relegated

Relegation (GDR best determination - district league)

The relegation only took place in January 1980. BSG Chemie 70 Rostock took the place of the representative of the best determination, which had withdrawn two weeks before the start of the tournament and was placed fourth and last at the green table. The representative from Hohenstein-Ernstthal, who started out of competition, missed a possible participation in the relegation due to the missed district championship. BSG Aufbau Schönheide took this place after it had waived its right to start last year.

BSG Chemie 70 Rostock - BSG construction Schönheide 12: 5
(Last of the B group / B. determination) (Winner of the elimination of the district champion)

The BSG Chemie 70 Rostock started in the coming season in the GDR best determination.
