Daniel Lester "Dan" Gauthier (born December 2, 1963 in Prineville , Oregon ) is an American actor . He gained fame primarily through his role as Kevin Buchanan from the US soap operas Love, Lies, Passion and All My Children, for which he was nominated for a Daytime Emmy Award , among other things .

life and career

Dan Gauthier comes from Prineville, Oregon. His mother, who was a local theater actress, also inspired him to pursue an acting career. At the age of 18, he moved to California and then studied at San Diego State University , which he was able to attend as a decathlete on a sports scholarship . After doing modeling jobs for a while, he finally made his first appearance in front of the camera in 1987 with a guest role in the sitcom A Terrible Nice Family . In 1989 he first gained more attention with the role of Brad Powell , the lover of Louise Miller , portrayed by Robyn Lively , from the film Teen Witch .

The role of Lt. John McKay in the series NAM - Dienst in Vietnam , which he played in over 30 episodes until 1990. He then appeared in television series such as Who's the Boss? , Everything okay, Corky? , Palm Beach Duo , Countdown X , Spaceship Enterprise - The Next Century or Friends in guest roles. On the set of Teen Witch , Gauthier met actress Lisa Fuller , whom he married in 1990. They are the parents of one son and live in Los Angeles and New York City .
