Daniel Röder (* 1972 in Fulda ) is a German lawyer .

Career and personal information

Röder studied 1991 to 1993 at the University of Marburg and then to 1996 at the University of Hamburg Jura . After his first state examination in 1996, he completed a legal clerkship at the Higher Regional Court in Frankfurt am Main until 1998 . In 1999 he passed the second state examination. In 2002 he received his doctorate from the Friedrich Schiller University Jena with a dissertation on the liability function of fundamental rights . After being admitted to the bar in 2001, he worked at Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer until 2005, specializing in corporate law and mergers & acquisitions. In April 2005 Röder founded the law firm Greenfort in Frankfurt am Main together with his Freshfields colleagues Carsten J. Angersbach and Gunther A. Weiss as well as Andreas von Oppen von Hengeler Mueller . Greenfort specializes in private equity , venture capital , mergers & acquisitions and real estate transactions.

Röder and his law firm advised the Chinese Wolong Group on the acquisition of the ATB Group from A-Tec Industries , Tradus , part of the Naspers Group, on the successful squeeze-out of ricardo.de , and Elanders on the takeover of LGI Logistics Group International von Kajo Neukirchen and Shanghai Yiqian Trading Company on the acquisition of Frankfurt-Hahn Airport .

Röder has been a lecturer at the Johann Wolfgang Goethe University in Frankfurt am Main since 2009 and at the Justus Liebig University in Gießen since 2016 . Since 2013 he has been a judge at the Hessian Lawyers' Court . He is also a judge at the Sports Arbitration Court .

Daniel Röder is married to the lawyer and business mediator Sabine Röder.

Pulse of Europe

In 2016, Röder was the driving force behind the founding of the Pulse of Europe initiative . He named the Brexit referendum and the election of Donald Trump as the trigger . In the course of this, Röder was interview partner several times, for example on television at ZDF-Mittagsmagazin , on BR television , at Phoenix , as well as a guest on talk shows such as the Phoenix Runde , on radio z. B. in Deutschlandfunk , hr-info ,, Bayern 2 , WDR5 KiRaKa , Nordwestradio , u. a. and was featured in numerous print media and others such as bpb , Der Freitag , Huffington Post , and others. v. m. questioned.

In January 2018, Röder was honored by the Hessian Minister for Federal and European Affairs, Lucia Puttrich, for his commitment as a “man of respect”. On May 22, 2018, he (together with his wife) received the Federal Cross of Merit .
