Dankó Rádió
Dankó Rádió is one of seven Hungarian state radio broadcasters operated by the Duna Média company (formerly Magyar Rádió ). Its namesake is the Hungarian Roma musician Pista Dankó (1858–1903). The station's program focus is music . The station is located at Kunigunda útja 64 in III. District of the Hungarian capital Budapest .
history
The history of Dankó Radio goes back to December 2009, when the Hungarian radio ( Magyar Rádió ) launched the MR7-Dalok és dallamok ( songs and melodies ) station as an internet radio station . The main focus of the station was music, especially folk music, Hungarian song ( magyar nóta ), Táncház music and operetta. From January 1, 2010, the station could also be heard daily from 6 to 6 a.m. on regional frequencies on VHF , and between 6 a.m. and 6 p.m. there was a live stream on the Internet. In December 2012, this station became Dankó Radio. The music program has been expanded to include evergreens , Roma music and world music . The radio station also organizes regular music evenings on the studio stage of the Thalia Theater ( Thália Színház ) in Budapest. which are recorded and broadcast on the radio.
