Daniel "Danny" Bois (born June 1, 1983 in Thunder Bay , Ontario ) is a Canadian ice hockey player who was under contract with the Vienna Capitals in the Erste Bank Ice Hockey League until the end of the 2015/16 EBEL season .
Career
Danny Bois was selected 97th in the third round of the 2001 NHL Entry Draft by the Colorado Avalanche . In the junior division, the striker played for the London Knights in the Ontario Hockey League , where he served as team captain for several years .
Since he was not taken over by the Avalanche, he signed a contract with the Organization of the Ottawa Senators in April 2004 . Starting in the 2004/05 season , the Canadian played for the Binghamton Senators for five years . In the 2006/07 season he played in the National Hockey League , in the away game against the Washington Capitals . In July 2009, Bois signed a one-year contract with the Chicago Blackhawks . Here, too, he only made it to the farm team , the Rockford IceHogs .
In July 2010, he decided to leave North America to sign a one-year contract with the Austrian first division club EC Red Bull Salzburg . Bois played in the EBEL for a total of three years - two seasons in Salzburg and a third at the Dornbirn EC .
On May 10, 2013, EHC Red Bull Munich announced the signing of Danny Bois. Here he met his former coach Pierre Pagé , who had already looked after him in Salzburg.
On November 19, 2014, the Sheffield Steelers announced the Canadian's signing. Exactly two months later to the day, the British ice hockey team announced the dismissal of the 31-year-old attacking player, whereupon he was briefly considered to be without a club. On January 27, 2015, the Vienna Capitals announced the commitment of Danny Bois, who moved back to the Austrian league and was traded as a replacement for Adam Naglich , who was suffering from a protracted back injury .
